There’s a little hacker hiding in all of us, and it’s time to let that code-cracker shine!

Meet Tarsier gameplay programmers, level designers and brand & communications manager this Pink Sunday in Malmö. There will be time to ask all of your questions in an open Q&A session, and then we'll be hackers for a day in a fun workshop about encryption!
We'll learn about a few well-known algorithms with the help of Java, and equipped with this knowledge, we'll solve a couple of riddles too!

In short, this Pink Sunday you will:

    • Participate in a Q&A session with gameplay programmers, level designers and brand & communications manager at Tarsier!
    • Deepen your understanding of encryption in a fun workshop using Java

Workshop level: Beginner/Intermediate

Preparations:
- Install Java 17
- Install Eclipse/IntelliJ/Visual Studio Code as code editor.
- A Github repository with a starting project will be sent in an email a couple of days before the event.
- An unofficial rule at Tarsier is no shoes indoors, so wear your favorite socks that day or please bring indoor shoes! đź§¦

      Workshop description: In today's world, cybersecurity is more important than ever, and our workshop aims to deepen your understanding of encryption. We will learn about a few well-known algorithms with the help of Java, and equipped with this knowledge, we will solve a couple of riddles too! There’s a little (ethical!) hacker hiding in all of us, and it’s time to let that code-cracker shine!

      Workshop Holder

      EnikĹ‘ - Software Engineer, has spent the past 5 years working with Java backend systems and has no plans to stop doing that anytime soon. She studied Computer Science at Malmö University and at Budapest’s Technical University, where she also spent some time conducting coding labs. If EnikĹ‘ was a superhero, her powers would be writing fabulous unit tests, fixing nasty bugs, and making you the perfect cup of black tea.
